Wishbones Wishbones Galore

I would like to start off by giving a big THANK YOU to Russ on a thread he ran last week about Accented Hair Kennedys
I just got back from a local coin show the first table I walked up to and there where 10- 1964 Proof sets which where marked $10.00 each
I opened up the first on and Bam a wishbone the next one and again a wishbone what are the odds, the third and another bone by this time the dealer said if I take all 10 he would give them to me for $8.00 each I took it and ran. I opened the rest and ended up with 9 out of 10 with that big old WISHBONE. So in closing I guess it does pay to read everything and ask questions from people who know alot more than you do See you can teach an old dog new tricks and yes 3 of them will be going to PCGS for grading Thanks Russ

Good for you. I opened about 6 proof sets at my local dealer... one AH in my pile of items waiting to slab.

It sometimes happens like that. If a dealer takes in a group that he bought from the same collector, and this collector happened to have ordered from the mint early, you can end up with a very high percentage of Accented Hairs in one batch. Morris (MNMCOINS) went something like 47 for 50 in a group he bought at a show.

Congrats on an excellent cherry-picking expedition.image
