Breen and RPM's

I came across two coins this weekend and find that I need some info - can anyone please help...

The first is a 1953 S/S (MS-66 RD), further noted on the ANACs slab as an RPM-13. I got the 'S/S' - what is the RPM-13?

The second is a 1943-D walker (MS-62). On the ANACs slab it states Breen 5205 - I don't have access to a Breen book, so who know what this means. My econd question on this walking liberty is that I believe it to be a MS63 or 64 (no discernable marks or wear) and would resubmit it to either PCGS or NGC. I do not believe that either recognizes Breen. If so, if I submit it do I loose whatever the Breen designation is?

So, I paid $20 for the 1953 S/S - thought that was a good deal. I paid $45 for the 43-d, likewise a good deal... Any records that you may have as to the value?

  • Nice to hear the ex. rare part. I can't see the overdate but what do I know...

I do believe that coin is undergraded by ANACs, if I submit it to NGC or PCGS would I then loose the desgination? Also, any idea as to the value?

The RPM#13 is a CONECA designation. CONECA (Combined Organization of Numismatic Error Collectors of America) has been around for a number of years and uses that system. RPM#13 specifies that it is a repunched mint mark and is the 13th different die discovered. If you would like to know more about Lincoln cent RPMs let me know.
