Question for 1971 Topps Collectors

I have just acquired some nice 1971 Topps Raw ... Question how much chipping is allowed on a PSA 8 or a 9 if someone could post some scans it would be very helpful...Jeff

basically no chipping on either grade.
..........and the nine has to be 50/50 both ways and clean enough for 10.
there are a few hundred psa 8's on e-bay that can give you an idea.

I agree with murcerfan as far as the chipping standard. PSA is pretty strict on high grades (8's and 9's) for this year. On centering, though, there seems to be some give on the 50-50 idea. This set is notorious for it's o/c cards but if everything else looks good (chipping, corners, focus, surface, etc.) I've seen several straight 8's that look visably off-center. As stated by murcerfan, there is a set breakup currently listed on eBay with hundreds of 8's. Check them out for references.

If they did all my 6's + 7's would be 8's +9's. "If wishes were horses beggars would ride" Very tough set!
