My Post #1000 (this one)

Well here it is, just about my third anniversary here (third month, that is), and this blabbermouth has hit a thousand posts. I guess with the next one my little caption will move from "veteran" to something else. Well, it was nice being a veteran.
Anyhow, I appreciate the back and forth I've had with everyone here. I have indeed learned a lot, and hope what I've shared over the months has been as educational to someone else as all of your posts have been to me.
Perhaps I will hit the big 10G by the end of the year if I stick around and keep blabbering.

And I hope you learned something from this post.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I have to add that I too hang on every post you make. In all honesty, I don't know that I've EVER "met" anyone with as vast a knowledge as yours with regard to ...appropriately enough.....copper coins
For an old Lincoln-lover like myself, you alone are worth the price of admission to these boards.
(OK, I know they're free...but that really was a compliment

Russ - Interesting you used a term that has its roots in my home state. Fits me perfectly, er...NOT!
