Will major type sets be weighted?

I'm wondering if the complete and Copper/Nickel/Silver type sets will be weighted? Imagine the difference in a Draped Bust Dollar and a Memorial Lincoln!!

I've asked this question on the Q&A forum, but didn't get a response.

It's unfortunate that an easily obtainable modern PF69 carries higher points than an MS63 chain cent (for example).

.........such a good comparison!!! even a modern guy like me sees the absurdity in it.

  • I submitted a question on the Q&A board regarding the type sets and the composition of MS and PR coins. What I was trying to find out was "will PCGS continue to allow both MS and PR coins in a type set or will they plan to creat PR only/MS only sets". No word yet. I would think it would be very hard to establish parity the way the sets are established.

In your opinion would you like to see it weighted or left alone? Would it be better to have no weights and let the coins stand on their own merit?
