Visit To The Coin Shop!!!!!!!! Guess the price...

Well, I made my first visit to a coin shop in a very...very long time. Prior to visiting the dealer, I had 3 other dealers who I wanted to check out first. Two dealers went out of business and the other was refurbishing their place. The last dealer was open but it was a very small dealer who dealt with Cards and Stamps as well.
I had a budget of $XXX and just wanted to buy the 1938 and perhaps 1939 PDS Jefferson nickles. The guy gave me about 10 or 20% off of most everything I was buying. He had a container of Morgan/Peace dollars. 5 for $10each.... a good amount of them looked cleaned but I picked up (2) 1922, 1923 and a 1924-S peace dollars. The 1924-S is dirty but I would have to say it could be AU-50!!!! The morgan is an 1880.
After picking out some of the 1938-1941 nickles, the guy offered me the 1938 - 1961 book for TEN FRIGGIN DOLLARS. I mean, they are not in the best shape and there are a few missing. I bought 2 1964 JFK's, I picked up the Carver-Washington for about $15... this also looks like it has some booger snots on it but a little dip may cure it!
I picked up some MS70, a lupe, some ez-est and was talking to the guy about coins and grading. Funny thing, they have no grades on any of their coins and do not deal with slabs.
After spending over an hour there and just browsing and looking at coins, I asked the guy about a junk box. I let him know that from what I read on the message board here, every coin shop has a junk box. If you don't have a junk box, then you cannot be a *real* coin dealer
I also let him know that I was doing something for my son.... so into the backroom he went....
THE JUNK BOX.... I started looking through it and it had some rolled coins and some junk coins such as the flattened penny. As I started going through it, he made me an offer I could not refuse. What was inside that junk box?
1 1964 uncirculated roll of pennies.
1 1920->1960 roll of pennies (also 2 plastic coin rolls with same)
1 1963 and 1 1964 uncirculated roll of nickles.
In cardboard 2x2's I found pennies from 1910->1970's including 1 nice red but worn 1912, a 1962 proof, a 1991 proof...well.. and some uncirculated coins.
2x2 Indian Heads....
2- V Nickles 1889 and 1898
Coin tube of War Nickles... all dates and mint marks!
Buffalo's 1918, 1929-1937 and some undated
4 large cents, two of which I can't see the date, an 1844 that I can see the date well and an 18x7 which looks like an 1837.
a 2 cent coin (1864 through 1873 can't see the date)
1865 2 cents coin
an 1854 Seated Liberty with a HUGE O!!!.... or should I say hole where the mint mark should be!!! but I would have to say this is in very good condition.
an 1859 Seated Liberty which doesn't have a hole but it well worn.
an Illinois coin that has say's "Illinois The 21st State" with a picture of the state on one side. on the other side it has an eagle, and then makes mention of when it was admitted into the union. I could not find this coin anywhere.
I found a barber dime in a 2x2 1912-D that is a bit dirty but the coin looks awesome. It could get MS!!! but of course, I need to see how I can get the dirt off without injuring the coin.
otherwise, I have a bunch of other barbers, indian head, wheat pennies, what appears to be a 1942 penny that ...and I can't find my error book... oblong? on where it should say liberty... a flattened penny that says "India Batav 1821" and 1853 Seated Liberty
Guess the price of my purchase!
Anyone who wants scans in order to help me out with this mess... I sure would appreciate it. Man, I LOVE COIN COLLECTING! I LOVE MY NEW FOUND DEALER DUDE FRIEND! I LOVE YOU ALL!

Did I read that right? $2 each for Morgans and Peace dollars?

I probably didn't mention every single coin I purchased, so that might be a bit unfair on my part but after going through my total purchase, I definately made out on the deal. If the 1910-D Barber dime is as good condition that I think it is, it more than covered my purchase. According to the PGCS price guide, in MS60 it is worth $215 but of course I take all price guides with a grain of salt but still, if I made $120 off of the coin, I would break even and have the rest of the coins for absolutely no cost.
Yes, the box cost me about $20. I also made out in the deal because I am very..very close to completing a Lincoln Wheat/Memorial collection for my son... and to boot, I am very..very close to completing the Jefferson collection for him as well. I really need to tabulate everything I have but I know it will probably take me atleast a week.
$20 for the box was great but I'm not sure if it was just him being nice or if he figured these were coins they probably wouldn't sell as they were not the high end types they had on display. The Barber for instance... I can tell just by looking at it that it has no wear at all but it is dusty and dirty. There is absolutely no wear at all on the reverse. Speaking of "wish we had more dealers around here like that", I went on Yahoo to find local dealers. The first place I went to right down the road was in an office building but I went in, looked at the directory and did not see anything related to coins. The next place I went to was referbishing but they really don't sell coins but they buy coins and various other jewlery and silver. The next place I went to was not at the address Yahoo gave me... rather some "Buster the clown" place
I'm going to have to sit down for a while and go through this stuff and start putting it in my little coin database and really figure out what I have. I know it's my first time going to a coin shop in a long time but I feel like I hit gold.
