Maybe there are so many complete sets because it was a short series and they are relatively cheap except for the FBL coins? mike
  • Well, as it should be. The series isn't that old, about 50 years. People still report getting franklin halves in change from bank. There's what, 35 coins in the set? Mintages in the high millions, PCGS alone has slabed almost 40,000 ms64FBL franklins. 40k! Now this set is quite an accomplishment for the series.

JMHO it may be fun, but this series ain't all that hard image

That all depends on what your goals are, to complete it in ms64, yeah, not that hard. To get into the top ten? VERY VERY DIFFULCULT! This would require lots of money invested, time and patience simply waiting for the right coins to become available.

The top twenty is getting very diffucult to crack as well...
