It's so pretty. I am completely hooked on toned Morgans.

I just wanted to post something. I am still in a daze after reading that 15 page thread. Wow is all I can say about that.

Some are probably sick of my posting my coins. But when your new to collecting it is so exciting and you want to share it with others who feel the same way. (My husband just looks at them and shrugs).

    Nice one! That does look like it`s going to be nice. I have a Morgan thats toned similarly to that and I`m happy with it.

    Lori, you are going to be in for a surprise when you get that coin. I recently bought this one from him 80-S PCGS MS65. The scan made the toning look like a funky green color, and my jaw just about hit the floor the other day when the coin arrived. It is prooflike, and the crescent is a metallic royal blue with a gold band. You should be very happy with that coin, let us know how the colors look when you get it.

    That is a rare coin,as it is square on both sides image more on the right side !

    I feel pretty safe in saying that's an original. Original surfaces, the only true original Morgan tone, bag tone, which comes from the Mint's original method of storage.
    See, you can find toned Morgans that are safe and don't cost an arm & leg quite easily.
    Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
