What is a "holey" 1856 Flying Eagle worth?

My dealer just returned and had purchased a complete set of FE/Indians and Lincolns. When he said the FE/Indian set had an 1856, my eyes sort of lit up, then he said it was holed. Who would drill a hole in one of these?
The hole, which is at the top has been crudely filled, and he is planning on sending it off to be repaired and then to ANACS to have it holdered (as holed and repaired). Clear date but very much a coin in circulation, grades VG/F. Guess these things really did circulate back then.
So what does everyone think a 1856 is worth damaged?
(I will try to scan it tomorrow and post an image.)

I'd have him repair it first and then sell it as a repaired coin, of course.

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.
