Something light....and fun to make and have!

My wife just told me a little while ago that we are going to have another baby! We're talking about names. Got any suggustions? If I could slip a numismattically oriented name in my wife's mind, that would be cool. We're looking for something that has no distasteful nicknames associated with it and that goes well with "Crane". Since she just found out today, we don't know whether it's going to be a girl or boy.
We've been working on this for a while, so we're pretty ecstatic. Our kids give us a lot of joy so one more is very cool for us!
Here's something numismatic that i heard a friend say:
What some dealers do...rip it, dip it, flip it and and ship it.
Also.....i'm at the Houston show....very, very active. Pre-boom buzz. Held a Coronet Double eagle in NGC Proof 68 Ultra Cam. 400K. Looks like a modern bullion coin, so fine.
Have had a 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar in NGC MS 65 in one of my cases this weekend. Sold a magnificent proof 67 cameo morgan for a friend for pinch over 50K.
Bought some absolutely incredible coins this weekend. A proof 66 Baber Quarter that is so intensely colorful that i am tempted to say that it is more intense than any morgan i have owned. Ya'll will see it when i get back home.
bought a constellatio in ms 63 that is a real beaut...fully struck, well centered nicely toned....mmmmmm
got a pilgrim in 66, (a coin that never comes nicely toned) with the most gorgeous bilateral toning imaginable...
has a friend memo me a norfolk in icg 69....that is mind blowing....
Someone (a board member) is trying to buy my toned Indian Head collection....of about 7 coins...all monsters....if he gets them he'll offer them on eBay.
Bought 4 very cool patterns....an aluminum Braided Hair Cent, an aluminum Morgan Dollar and a proof 65 Ultra Cameo Silver $1 pattern that is unbelievably magnificent. Also bought a ms 63 Lafayette with totally turqoise toning.
i won't be on line again for a while so forgive me if i don't respond to any comments or questions for a day and a half or so....
Gotta go, i'm tired!

That is great news! Congratulations to both of you!

Steel (Crane)- hehe
I guess I'm not good at naming people... you could always try "Franklin" for a boy
Congrats!

I like Hart Crane for a boy. He would have the name of a great, under appreciated American Poet.
And I like Juliet Crane for a girl. Juliet--well in literature who was more romantic?
Neither character real or fictional, actually came to a good end though, hmmm. Oh well. You asked.
Oh, numismatic themed names... Ike and Susan?
Sounds like the coin show is a lot of fun. Wish I was there.

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

Girl: Raven Crane
I love those names.
For some life lasts a short while, but the memories it holds last forever.

In memory of BL, SM, and KG. 16 and forever young, rest in peace.
Congrats though!
Charles, for Charles Barber, not after me...I've been a Charles all my life - not too many connotating things - upchuck, chuck-duck, etc...just stupid stuff.

Oh and as a thought - I think when the blessed event comes you should send all of us a congratulatory ANACONDA coin instead of cigars!
Best wishes

Names? If it's another girl, how about Candy Crane?

After drooling over your coins for so long two unconventional yet somehow quite fitting names popped right into my head.
The name "Rainbow" for a girl might fit...
And although unusual, and for some perhaps a mite short, how about "Cam" for one of the favored gender. (haha, just jesting here, Lucille).

Ana Conda Crane.
Names are tough! You have nine months to make the decision. I had twins 14 years ago and figured I needed 8 names depending on the outcome. I'm glad it's you and not me. Congratulations to you and yours.

For my name suggestions:
Boy .... something starting with a "C", like Cameron
Girl .... Isabella (one of my fav commems)
If it's a girl then Morgan Rainbow Crane
If it's a boy then Barber Coronet Crane
If it's neither then Monster Crane
(Actually Morgan Rainbow Crane would be a pretty good name. I should win something for that)

Excellent news!!!!!!!

Editted to fix numerous drunken typos...
Carson Crane.
Denver Crane.
George Washington Crane.
If a girl MS70 Crane!!! Just kidding.
Edited to add: what was I thinking, how about Rockne Crane?
I do like Issabella, so does my better half. We have actually put it on our short list. We havent had any luck for over a year, so you are indeed blessed.

Great news - a sincere congratulations to you and your family.
Names? Annie, if it's/she's a girl (which is my bet) and Andy if it's/he's a boy. Obviously, the middle name for either must be Anaconda.
For a boy - Dillon
For a girl - Vivian
Middle names - up for grabs!
Total Copper Nutcase - African, British Ships, Channel Islands!!!

We planned to give our kids middle names after composers we like. Our daughter's middle name is "Clara" after Clara Wieck Schumann (wife of Robert Schumann, pianist, and composer in her own right).

I wasn't into coins yet when any of my 3 were born. I wonder if they would get upset if I went down to the Courthouse on Monday and had all their names changed?

I can see it now "hey kids I just change your names to penny, nickel and dime."

Hey GSA Guy....do you own that morgan that you're using as your moniker? Wait, that's a stupid question. Will you show it to me?
Good night.
