All,
So far so good. I've had two great days (mostly selling) here at the show....both the dealer set up day which was yesterday and again today. Public attendence appears to be pretty good but I'm not sure how much buying they've been doing. According to the show sponsor, tomorrow should be even better.
Most of my sales are to dealers and most of them are buying GSA coins......and hey, in that case I'm the guy to go to, right?

Have you had a chance to get around to see what the other dealers are offering?
Check out the Southern Gold Society
Glad you're having a good time down here. Sorry I couldn't join you!
I've heard that the dealer-to-dealer action was pretty intense. What else is selling? What's up for sale?
Keep the reports coming!
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

I haven't heard any dealer complaints about the level of activity at this show. Honestly, I wasn't expecting a super show because this one has been in a rebuilding phase for some time. Kodos should go to Carl and Pat Schwanker (sp?) for their hard work and tireless promotion.
Anyway, the show's being held at Greenspoint Mall.
As the show closed at 6:00, they locked the doors between the show floor and the auction room so you had to really want to be there to find it.....ie leaving the show and trying to find your way back to the auction room through the mall.
Once there, the auction was moving so slowly for me that I couldn't hang. I gave up after just about falling asleep. Having said that, the auction appeared to be pretty well attended.
Dealer to dealer transactions, what are they buying, what's for sale? To be honest with you, I've stayed hooked up negotiating deals on GSA coins. Amazingly, there aren't that many on the floor.
