I got this email from the detective handling the case.
It's kind of funny. It seems Eddy is feeling the wrath of his eBay customers
Hello All....
I received an email response from Eddy today. He advises that he has
relocated his family to another state because of threats that he has
received from his Ebay customers. He also stated that he has sent out
refunds for "most" of the orders and that he sent cashiers checks.
Please, do not send any further email messages to Eddy, especially no
threats or abuse. Let me communicate with him in an official capacity. You
should respond to any inquiry that he might make of you, but copy it to me.
As to his refund checks, I have my doubts, but please notify me immediately
if you receive a check from him. Make a copy of it, fax the copy, and then
deposit the check.
Eddy says he's returning to Sugar Land in a couple of weeks that that he'll
contact me when he gets here. We'll see.
I'm meeting with FBI and Postal Inspectors this afternoon. I'll let you
know about that on Monday.
I added four more victims to the case today. That makes 44 and a total loss
todate of $83,888.80.
This is his web site, but he's currently not taking orders due to "system enhancements"
