Morgan Experts - need some advice

I must admit - the lady is beautiful.

My knowledge is woefully inadequate.

I'd really appreciate some suggestions of "best reading" to get up to speed a bit on this particular

Dan - I was able to get a copy of it for $45 - brand new - they come up pretty frequently.

The vam book is the best money I have ever spent. I bought one in 1993 and Ive never regretted having it.

VAM book is great if that's what your into.

The obvious must-have Morgan dollar "bible" is Wayne Miller's Morgan and Peace Dollar Textbook.

If you have some extra cash, and enjoy a lot of reading, then check out John Highfil's US Silver Dollar Encyclopedia. Very long, but fun, and lots of pictures.

go to some of the larger shows and personally inspect the Morgans that you buy before purchase them. Buy the books that have already been recommended in this thread. Buy the books and read the books before spending big $$$.

You can also cheat and get the top 100 vams which is much cheaper and has good info on the VAMs that actually are worth money.
