The Value of these message boards... w Barber pics

I have become quite amazed at the extent of the knowledge, insight and friendship offered at these boards. Like some supercomputer with all knowledge, one need only type one's numismatic question or quandary and it is instantantly answered from ten different angles and perspectives.

I recently expressed frustration at the lack of Good barber material and within 20 minutes had added 2 new examples to my set and a third came later on from another post mentioning good online Coin dealers.

I tip my hat to all of you. To Placid...for his help in finding two excellent pieces, and to all those willing to impart a few nuggets of wisdom.

And I am kind of looking for an excuse to put up some coin photos I know barbers are boring to many, but hopefully I can make one or two barber nuts drool!

You know I like those circs. That 1908-S is simply a wonderful example of what a circulated Barber can and should be--just beautifully contrasting and original. I'm glad they're in good hands.

NIce Barbers! Those are all great looking circulated coins.

As for Chuck., I have bought a little over 70 coins from him (all in the inexpensive range) and he is one of my favorites.

From one Barber lover to another, those are some really nice coins. I'll bet your collection of circulated Barbers is really something! Nice original circulated Barbers aren't easy to come by. It seems that most of them have been at one time or another attacked by jewel luster and an emery cloth.
