Monster toned 1964 JFK business strike!

Okay, so it's not really monster toned. Oh, but what a difference a picture can make.
Compare to the scans in the auction where I bought the coin.

I think the toning on this one came from the cardboard in the aftermarket "memorial" holder. It doesn't appear that the coin has ever been removed and thus has likely been sucking up whatever's in the cardboard for better than three decades.

is in one of those cheesy 'Coins Of the Presidents' sets like you might see in the Sunday Paper or a credit card statement.
The color in the pciture is pretty darn accurate and it took less than 8 years of interaction with whatever is in that holder.
The Washington and the Roosevelt are toning too but not nearly as much.

If you're talking about the pic I posted, it is in a slab....a PCGS slab....MS67 if I remember correctly. And believe me, the pic doesn't do the coin justice.
