Safes vs Safe deposit Bx

Now that Murcerflake has identified me I am interested and concerned that my 432,982 PSA-8 -10 cards may be mistaken as a Mogul he wishes to attempt to try his new skis out on and slice open a few slabs thus I am wondering if many of you use either the safe or a box or both and have any suggestions for proper security. Which option do you think is best? I have a safe but it is so big (Patridge family~Danny's Well Fargo model SPG-943*)I Have no where to put it.

If youve got a heavy duty save then use it. I mean if someone is going to crack a safe, know which are the valuable cards, bypass your home security system, etc., etc.....its not meant to be. Chances are if you have cards worth big $$$, then there are a number of other items in your house a thief may want before baseball cards.

Your biggest threat is having friends come over, feed you turkey and cheap wine and play with that hot wheels collection while you're passed out!
Liberty Safe makes some great models that are very reasonable, with digital locks and dehumidifiers. And they are too big for even you to lift! One bit of advice, no matter how big you think you need, double it!
I agree that the biggest threat is fire and light fingered contractors! I've also seen things in safes completely ruined due to mold, so I would highly recommend a dehumidifier. Just keep the Cohibas out of there!

I did actually buy some of those "Good Times" card packs after looking at the one the board member had graded!
the concern is that the house burns down, the safe falls through the second floor to the concrete slab (because of the fire), then I open the safe after the fire to find MELTED PSA HOLDERS ADHERED TO THE CARDS I SO DESPERATELY TRIED TO PRESERVE!!!
I think I will send this idea to Stephen King for his next horror novel.
