Donating to the defense fund?

Depending on the particulars of the so called lawsuit filed by a grading company against two dealers, I am going to contribute funds to the defendants. I am sure the ANA will remain silent on the subject and if they do I will finally drop my membership. Anyone else have thoughts on this matter, pro or con?

I would have to see who the defendants are and see the particulars of the lawsuit. Hopefully, we will hear more from Ira before too long. I will certainly consider it as an option if its seems a reasonable course of action. There are some dealers I could not support, no matter who was going after them.

Same for me - depending on the circumstances. But I would probably would.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

It is ironic that such silence for fear of ??? will only hurt the very hobby they try to promote.

Major dealers who remain silent to the issue as well as the coin doctoring issue only serve to hurt their industry. Today who needs to file a lawsuit? Only the threat of one will force people to comply or be a lapdog.
