Also, the cent and half looked very good in that set. I'm tempted to yank them out and send them in!

Edit to add: but I agree they look ten times better in person, this came from Andrew Kimmel
Mine is still in the original cellophane also, and has those pink tones almost throughout. Seeing mine today, then the one that started this thread, and now yours, which was also in the original wrapping all this time, makes me wonder what it is about 1962 that many of them are toning like this now. Do any of you Jeff collectors know if the composition or packaging changed in 62?
They sure are beautiful though! I've just about decided to send mine in (though I need to pull it out and look at it again to see if it is really a good strike). I'll try to remember to take a quick pic when I pull it out again. Also, I think some might be interested in the Franklin in there. It looks really good also.

And the Franklin is BLAST WHITE...not a hint of anything anywhere on it, but it looks to be a good strike and a good planchet, though I haven't looked at it very closely. I will tomorrow or Wednesday and post some pics.
MAN! These boards are PRICELESS!

But the natural color of mie is a uniform pink, and rather deep, with hints of blue and yellow. You'll see

thank you,

Unlike bodybagging the coin with "QUESTIONABLE COLOR" ANACS calls it the way they see it and on color coins, they're conservative.
If it's ANACS housed, the color is REAL (imho).

Can you do us all a favor (and yourself) and get a better picture host than AOL? I like checking your auctions, but sometimes I just give up and move on because I get tired of waiting for the pics to load off AOL's crappy, bogged down servers.

They all have the same looking pastel colors. Clearly all these coins could not have the same hues to them. I have seen you state here before that it might not look the same in hand, but the colors are all there. Which I have no reason not to believe you at this time.
As far as feedback, it is a good indication how a person might do business, but some people will leave a positive and either not know any better, or are in fear of getting a neg. I am writing this to you so maybe you can clear up why almost all images have that pukey pastel look to them. And I am also directing this to you so you will know I'm not trying to say this behind your back.
Edit to add: I went and looked at this nic and your other auctions, and imo all the colors still look the same. I'm sure they are captured in their best light, but as someone that is used to looking at toned coins I find it very hard to believe they all have the same hues and pastel colors. I'm writing this as people on here always do question your imaging, so I decided to take the jump and ask you about them.

I liked your auction description, and having never done any business with you, have absolutely no reason to question your candor. ANACS is a competent grading firm in my estimation, and I wouldn't impune your or their reputation. That said, I am a big fan of the colorful proof Jeffs, and frequently bid on such coins, and have assembled a pretty good collection of them. My earlier comment regarding this coin was simply my take on the toning. I didn't bid on that coin because I didn't like the way the toning stopped short of the rims on both sides. It is apparent that the coin wasn't album toned, and being a proof coin, my best guess is that it was toned in the mint film. If that is true, the toning is a reaction to a gas in the bag. Gas usually doesn't selectively tone fields and devices and ignore the rims, like a liquid does. Did you submit the coin yourself or have knowledge of it prior to it's submission, or did you buy it holdered?

Given our past history and correspondence with this seller, I would recommend buying from him any day. Always has hard to find color and a good mix of coins for sell or on consignment. If you don’t like the purchase, just return it.
IMO,
