  • Thanks for posting this. I have heard about this scam but it's interesting to read.
  • I receive that same email about once every month or 2. I also received a PayPal type email that was similar. There are always thieves and it's too bad.

    will they get info from you and max out your credit card, then steal your identity?

    Did you forward it to eBay? they seem more concerned about this sort of thing then sellers screwing buyers.

    Several folks on the ebay chat room were already talking about the same deal. I'm sure ebay has it by now. One guy said he got the same email and gave them the info. They used his ID to sell a bunch of stuf and caused him a lot of problems.
