    We can only hope that the high bidders were shill accounts. Please tell me that nobody paid such huge money for those slug coins.

    I wouldn't call them "slugs"-- they're actually fairly good counterfeits. As TDN pointed out last week, the '76-CC is the rare type 2 neck feathers on type 1 reverse. image
