I was just surfing through some auctions, when I read this note below that the seller added. Why won't you want snipes, as they run up the price. Also, just because I wait to bid, does that mean I am not a "real" bidder? I think I'll snipe just to see what happens.

You can't snipe this auction if there is bidding at or near the ending time it will be extended. Read the notes. Auction may get automatically extended.

What in the world is the seller babbling about? Aren't snipers every seller's dream?

On another note: is that coin really a Proof-66 coin? The obverse looks gross to me. Could it have toned/hazed over in the slab??

Ed that haze is rather typical for proof Ikes.

To me, the hazy is a heat damage.

Spend a few bucks; you could do the experiment.

Mike, I have some Ikes and Kennedy proof singles with similar haze. Should I dip the haze off, or just leave it be? I am afraid to dip the proofs for fear of damaging the surfaces.
