Went to the Nashua N.H. coin show today.....WHOA!

As busy as I've ever seen the show. Lots of new coins floating around from FUN. I picked up a bunch of goodies. I can't remember it being that busy there. Everyone was trying to figure out if it was the market, in general, or just because there hasn't been a show up here in a month or so.

You guys are tooo fast!!!!!!! I hit the return button by mistake after I typed in the title. image
I'm going to list a few things on the BS&T board, and some others on Ebay, and some others are going to be heading to anacs and ngc.

There was an interesting site this month. A couple rented a table to sell off dear old departed dads old collection. A sizable collectiion, and the word was, it was like vultures on roadkill!!! I got there a little late, so I didn't get first (or second for that matter image) shot at the coins, but I was told there were some very nice bust halves, quarters, dollars etc. Notebooks full of nickels, dimes, three cent pieces etc. Lots of "stuff". I spent about $600 or so with them, but that was nothing. Dealers were coming back to pick up there coins as I was looking, and totals in the amount of $5k, $7k, and $17k were mentioned, and that was just while I was sitting there. Everyone commented on how cheap everything went. One thing for sure, the coins have been in hiding for a LLLOOOOONNNGGGG time.

On another note, away from all the hoopla, I found a dealer that picked up a nice little half dime collection, bust and seated, and I picked up quite a few attractively toned goodies image I'm not sure if I'm going to send them off to get graded, or just sell them raw. I'll have to look it over first.

Everyone also commented on how any coin that was decent, was going for strong money. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, personally, but I still managed to spend quite a bit there as there was sooo much nice material floating around. Seemed that way anyway.

I was there from 10:00 to 11:00 or so, and it was busy then. Offerings in slabbed gold were much less plentiful than usual, to the point of being very scant. Almost all the slabbed gold was in the 61/62 range, with a couple exceptions. A disappointing show to go looking for nice gold.

I think everyone is holding gold seeing if it goes up again. Maybe?
