No wonder these savings and loans went out of business.

Had they invested in coins instead of giving them away and investing in crummy mortagages they would still be around!

Greg Bingham is from Houston TX where this S&L is from and he told me a while back that these things were issued in the 1960s so they are really old. That's 30+ years of tone on those coins.

Through the years I've bought a number of these. They're usually target toned with deep blues and red-browns. Neat piece.
