Thinking ahead to the summer Baltimore Show... and a fun idea

First,
I want to know about the Baltimore show for those who have any ideas of it... I want to get there, but don't know if my parents will let me go alone (or come along with me)... I REALLY want to go (especially for the YN auction, and to see who is YN of the year... yours truly was nominated ). Plus, if I went, I could see lots of you I know how you want to meet me ever so badly!
As I see it, the cheapest way to get down there is to take Greyhound, which looks to be $90 round trip... does anyone know about hotel rates? Remember, I need LOTS of time to persuade/argue my point in order to go...
Also, who knows about YN activities other than walking around the Bourse?
Now, for my fun idea I want to go to a select few tables (Hagar, *cough*, *wheeze*, *puke*) and pretend I am just some stupid kid who knows nothing about the hobby. I want to look as misinformed as I possibly could. Then, I am going to ask about why his company is so great, and lots of stupid questions as I see fit, such as what determines a grade and what is wrong with the coins I see (Hopefully marred PR70s and whizzed MS69s ) Then, when he is all done and thinks he is going to sell to me, the stupid idiot, I will make a few remarks that show I know he is just talking stupid the entire time... and then leave... if someone wants it on video, I'm sure I could do a good job
Thanks,
Jeremy

I don't know if I will get there this year and am sorry that I will miss your scumbag dealer table experiences. As far as hotels go, the Inner Harbor - Convention center area is pretty pricey. Figure at least $80 per night for the cheapest in the area if you get great discounts.
Hope you can get to the show. I'm sure you will enjoy it.
<< <i>Just be careful. As the signs say at the zoo, don't feed or tease the monkeys. >>
My mom says I'm a monkey She still feeds me Hmmm... I can't legally carry mace... drat! Well... I have a degree in annoyance (I have an older brother)- I gotta carry it out for the good of numismatics

AH collectible's (which was manned by Alan Hagar) cases at FUN were filled with NGC and PCGS coins. I'm afraid your "adventure with Alan" probably wouldn't work too well. Even he isn't stupid enough to peddle his own junk! I hope you make it to Baltimore!
Andy
First POTD 9/19/05!!
His PCGS coins are the ones that ACG would not crossover. Did I just say that??? Shoot me.
<< <i>Then I'll mention i heard he was part of ACG... why stock PCGS His PCGS coins are the ones that ACG would not crossover. Did I just say that??? Shoot me. >>
What would ACG not cross?
I was being sarcastic. They would crossover a wooden nickel with termites.

Squish the termites and VOILA... rainbow toning!
<< <i>Stop by our tables and say hi !!! Atleast stop by for a piece of free candy *grin* >>
If I stop by, can I get some candy?
There are probably going to be some YN programs, but we won't know until March probably, after the spring show is over. There used to be a group of YNs that split hotel costs between 3 or 4 people. That group is long gone, but I bet we could gather some interest and split a room together. Of course, I'll be working and may or may not be at the show. I won't know for a while, but if you like the splitting idea, I'll run it by some people who may be interested? Any other YNs interested?
Joe

WOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!
Jeremy,
how far are you from Lititz PA. Punch it into mapquest or something. If you can find your way to where I'll be (a relatives) you can more than likely ride down with me, ron, and my uncle.
<< <i>How refreshing! A young man who wants to talk his parents into letting him attend a coin show, instead of a Rock Concert! If I was your Parents I'd say YES!!!!!!! It would be even better if they could come along with you. You have restored my faith in the younger generation. I never knew you were this young! >>
I'll be 16 on March 12 I also hate rock... except the classics like the Who

I don't know if my parents will let me get a ride from a stranger You will also be 140 miles away... Thanks for the offer!
Who knew that one of my friend's dad inveted MapQuest software? He was over today working on an English project

If this is what you wanted to do can't you convince your parents or at least one of them to drive you down and see for themselves what you absolutely enjoy and live for? This way you can save on the $90 and the $90 could go towards a hotel night stay?
If you can't talk your parents into doing that just pm me and I will shame them into doing a kid will never stop thanking their parents for and that is mighty unusual these days.
I have driven my 17 year old daughter to Hershey Park, PA just so she see her favorite band, the Dave Matthews Band.
By the way, did you go to the New York ANA last summer?
Another option is to go with another friend of yours and go together as buddy-mates.
