Do you think finally having a price guide for moderns will spur the market?

Now that Coin World has printed the first ever price guide for high grade moderns
in the 1-20-03 issue will it have much impact on the market and how long until this
possible impact appears?

From what i've read interest has increased over the last year or so,perhaps thats why coin world made this addition.in a publacation as large as coin world it can only raise interest even higher.

Will it spur the market ? I doubt it. I am very happy to see that it has finally come to pass but there are still too many folks who have no faith in the present values for modern coinage. They consider the present values to be an anomaly - an artificial price bubble - and one that is due to pop any day according to them.

When this attitude regarding modern coinage subsides - assuming it does - then and only then will people believe.

I think it will have a nominal effect in the short term and a moderate effect in the long term.
