New values for moderns in Coin World.

cladkingcladking Posts: 28,656 ✭✭✭✭✭
Most everyone has probably seen the first ever published prices for high grade
moderns in the 1-20-03 Coin World by now. So what do people think of their
comprehensiveness and accuracy? There are quite a few market makers and
collectors around here and everyone's opinion is welcome.

I'm really looking for comments about the PRICES though and how they relate to
one another rather than about the coins or the values of the coins though.

  • I have not studied it well - but I did look it over. Based on this first issue I'd say it is about 50/50 - 50% are close to current market and 50% are not. But I think that almost all the prices are still on the low side.

Yes, it's available at the Coin World web site but you must be a subscriber to access it.
Or you can access the issue itself if you subscribe to the online version.

I find it generally accurate and it mirrors the PCGS guide in many ways.
