For those who do not regularly visit the Registry board or do not particularly follow Jeff proofs, but who like to stay current with the super coins emerging of late: LINK
Super coins?????? Or just another example of the ever-evolving new and improved PCGS grading standards. Where the hell do you suppose all of these new pop-top Jeffs ** are suddenly appearing from after all these years of PCGS grading?????????????????????????????????????????????? Get frickin' real PCGS!
**and other coins that have been near/or impossible to make
...........hey tim, don't be quite so quick to pull the trigger and blame a newly made #1 on changing standards at PCGS or any other service. if we're truly in a big market run-up it seems plausible that previously ungraded coins will be coming onto the market and ending up holdered. i'm a believer that the next five years will see more cameos in the 1936-1942 proof area of the hobby. could there even be a DCAM out there???
I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few more early Jeff DCAMs out there......... I wouldn't be shocked if there are many high-grade coins that have not been slabbed......... but when floods of high/highest grade coins appear within a 60 day time frame........? Pre-'50 Jeffs....... there are how many PR68s now? How many were there a year ago? How many '72 69DCAMs have been made in 10+ years and how many in the past 2 months? The '57 PR68 jumped how many in a month? The '66 SMS Kennedy MS68 pop remains unchanged for years at 23/24 - then 10 "popped" in one month???? All I can say is _____ that! There are other pop tops that are doubling/tripling...... growing by leaps and bounds after hardly any being made in all PCGS history........... if there is not a new grading standard where are the nice coins coming from? I can understand a "trickle" of high pop coins but an onslaught???
