It seems that I can receive PMs, but not respond. Is anyone else having this problem?

I am not sure what you mean.
I receive and send PMs when I find it appropriate. This venue is used because the dialogue is either not pertinate to the greater group or sufficiently personal or directed that it is best transmitted directly and privately. All my messages received and sent were responded to. I have never received a PM that was not constructive.

My question was technical. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for your responses/PMs. It seems that I am "able" to respond to a PM using AOL, but not with my dsl server. I guess therein lies the problem.
    Thanks again.

There are others with this problem too. Nucklehead for one. Maybe others have some ideas on possible fixes. It could be a firewall problem. mdwoods

Also, I believe you have to have the allow cookies setting turned on. Using IE, go to Tools, then Privacy, then you can adjust the cookies settings to allow cookies.

  • I had a problem like this and someone on this board asked me if I had a Pop-up stopper.

Well, I had just installed one. I went back and read the instructions and it said if I wanted to override the stopperI had to hold down the control key when I started it.

IT WORKED! For some reason (I can't think of the right words) the pm here and a lot of times in other cases they used the same (problem event). And again I was able to override it by holding down the control key when I initiated the PM. Once initiated I no longer had to hold the key.

I also had to do this in other cases including getting into my checking account!

    Hope it works for you.
