Is the Post office slow or what????

I purched some coins off of FrattLaw . He sent them out On January the 4th . Ok am I being to impatient??? Or is the Post office just that slow????

If they were sent by Registered Mail, it can take up to two weeks (not always, of course, but it happens). I've had insured mail take up to 10 days (very rare). You can go to the PO and they can track Registered Mail (will tell you what POs it been through, maybe where it is - but not when it will arrive). Good luck, hope you get your coins soon.

yes, they have been very very slow lately! Usually they speed back up after the holidays, but seems they slowed down this year! My average times are around 2 weeks lately (yes, I am impatient when i am waiting for goodies in the mail)

LOL I absolutly believe FrattLaw. Stupid post office next thing they will do is have us go an pick up our own mail and stop delivering it . That will be thier next way to save money, OH ya cant forget to raise the rates again.

I have received three inquiries this week, on coins mailed after the first of the year to the Northeast, which have not arrived as of today.

It could be worse, it could be invoices waiting at PCGS since 12/12... When they finally do get graded, then another ???? to get back here. Haven't even seen the coins since 12/9! Glad I took pics of them so I'll remember what they were!

The mail was going warp speed right before Christmas-I was mailing stuff all over the place and it was getting there in 3 days. The same trip's taking 7 days now.

Depending on the service. Priority = 2-3 day Regesterd mail is up to 2 weeks and good ole first class is on the average 5 days... And if it gets lost up to 7 months =(

jb's coin came in 2 days, but i guess that's what you get for paying $10. even airborne express overnight service takes atleast 2 days at their $7 promotion rate.
fed ex isn't much better either. oh well

The only problem I have ever had with speed from the post office is using Priority mail. 11 days for a Priority envelope to go from Detroit to Baltimore. 30 days for a Priority insured package to go from Michigan to California. Only once did I have a First Class insured item take an abnormally long time. I got a Registered package from CA yesterday that was mailed on Monday. mdwoods
