Type 1 and type 2 Ikes...

Whats the difference.Is it the R in DOLLAR thats different?One has a straight `leg` the other is curved at the end?
Is that right and which is the 1 and which is the 2.

    I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to, but Type 1 and 2 usually refer to the 75 and 76 Ikes. The straight leg R that you're talking about is actually a variety called a Peg-Leg. Usually you find these varieties on the 71 & 72 silver proofs.
    BTW - it's not the R in dollar, it's the R in Liberty on the Obverse.
