  • I generally get those sets in the 10.00-13.00 dollar range. So it is an ok price. "Unopened" atleast on e-bay to my cynical way of thinking probably means that the flat-packs themselves have not been opened. But I have still gotten some sets with great looking coins.

For the 1959 and 1960, "maybe". For the '61 to '64, no.

    LOOK AT HIS FEEDBACK !!!
  • This guy had the same auction last week.Think he had 12 bids.
I'd rather hand my local dealer 16 bucks, close my eyes and say "Give me something nice"

  • I bought some Liberty nickels from them before (culls), and they were full date, but not much else. I was slightly disappointed with the quality, but then again, I bought them to give away (they make EXCELLENT ball markers for any golfers you know!)

And they were slow to ship. I probably wouldn't buy from them again, but primarily because I've found other eBay dealers I know and trust.

  • IvanOnly- I wouldn't want to encourage you. However, if you are inclined to buy the unopened proof sets and "try your luck", then do it here:

Val Webb, Webbulator, is one of the very finest in the business. Recognize these guys systematically search these boxes of proof sets by pulling every 4th or 5th set and checking for cameo, dcam and ddo. If they find one, then open the sets to either side of them and so on. The others are sold off. So, the odds are not wonderful. Good luck! image
  • Ok, thanks for all the replys. I think I will try my local dealer image
