  • Airplanenut, are you bucking for a PCGS grading position? Let's see, 20 coins at $15......kching, you are owed $300 in grading fees.

Foober, I did not look all the images but many appear to be harshly cleaned. If you go the slab route [not what i suggest] ANACS would be your best bet IMHO.
  • airplane, thank you. how do you know certain coins are cleaned?

desert, I did not know grading was so expensive! I thank airplane for his grades. How do you know they are cleaned?
  • You can recognize cleaning by looking at alot of coins. A good starting place is ebay, just about every raw, nonslabbed, coin is cleaned. If you are a buyer and not good at grading, stick with PCGS or NGC slabbed coins and you will be OK. Many others are grossly overgraded or cleaned or worse.

Another good exercise is go to an auction's lot viewing or broswe through a dealers inventory of both raw and slabbed. The differences will soon be apparent.

Lastly, buy a grading book on ebay and it should also help.
  • desert, what does slab mean? circulated?

    thank you for your information.
