Rainbow and blue/bronze cabinet toned Kennedy

Just got this of Ebay.
One of the nicest Kennedy halves now in my collection.
I love the toning. Your thoughts?

I believe the 1980-P Kennedy are frequently found toned like this. Someone said that Heritage "made" most of them in MS66 & MS67.

True. It's actually harder to find the 80-P in an untoned MS-67 than white, but most I have seen do not look as vibrant as this one. And I don't know whether Heritage made them or not, but there was about a year where they offered one for sale almost every week.

  • I passed this one up the other night great looking coin. I do not collect toned Kennedy's ( YET ) but this coin could get me hooked ( resist resist resist ). The link is to the coin I did pick up instead of this one

  • I too was watching this Kennedy but didn't get back in time to throw out a snipe on it. Will be curious of your thoughts about it when you have it in hand - it may look much better than the pic. I have a 1980-P which has a bullet toned obverse (red, blue, purple over a bronze color surface) but the reverse is 95% white with just a small crescent of color from 1 - 3 o'clock. It is also a PCGS MS66 that I picked up dirt cheap a few years back. Itsa keeper image
