    Didn't a 1962 Lincoln cent in PRF70 bring $30Ksomething or other?

CG - I can think of 5-6 times in the past 2 years that a Franklin in this grade changed hands in this price range. It is the rarest Franklin in FBL for the series, with about only 15 so graded. Why do you think the price is so outrageous?
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

$39,000 for a holder that says 70 instead of 69? And PCGS just started making more of those little 70s, too....I guess if you can't think of anything good to say....

  • Thankyou for the very fair offer Segoja, but I think we both know why I passed. This is the most outragiously toned Kennedy I have ever seen and will probably end up in a 68 holder at some point.

    MS68,
You joined in Sept 2001 and this is your first post? That's almost as bad as David Hall during the RickM era! image

    Dave: Welcome to the boards!!

The 64 Kennedy is awesome. As you know, the entire Kennedy series is soft right now. That will not always be the case and when MS Kennedys erupt, a coin like that monster toned 1964 will be the centerpiece of any collection. If it upgrades to MS68, it will be a "name your price" coin image Wondercoin

  • Loki- Most people think I am a bit slow. I guess this confirms it.
Nic- Thanks for the welcome. I will try hard to not disappoint you.

The prices for the run of late date proof lincolns in the Heritage sale surprised me the most. There appears to be at least three or four different people chasing these coins for moon money.
