Question for the Roosevelt people out there!

Hi,
I received a 2002-P Roosevelt dime in change at the Burger King drive through the other day. It caught my attention right away as I was counting my change. It appears to have a very lustrous, matte finish across both sides, although more pronounced on the obverse.
I have to admit to a lack of knowledge about this series, as I tend to igore a lot of the smaller coins in favor of the larger sized issues. This is probably also the first time I've bothered to look at a Roosey under magnification, but there is a definite difference when comparing it to another 2002-P dime I had in my pocket. The second was also in nice condition, but had much more reflective surfaces.
I would appreciate any thoughts or ideas from anyone the knows more than I do about this series. (That'd be just about all of you! LOL!)
Thanks very much for in advance for any responses.

I have seen some nice PL looks as well.
Brian.
and more of the recent date dies have a little more of a matte finish. This will wear
off very quickly so as Wingedliberty said it is probably very early die state.
It's unlikely this applies to your coin but on rare occasion a planchet will be extremely
scratched up and enough of these scratches will remain as to look matte after it is
struck.
A coin exposed to just the right acidic enviroment can also appear matte at a glance.
Thanks.
