Home PCGS Set Registry Forum

Finally started my own set registry

It's about time isn't it image

Since I only had a couple different coins slabbed by pcgs, there was no point. But Larry had some nice cheaper ones that I picked up this weekend and now I think I have 8 listed out there, moving me up to #33. Pretty decent.
After the Charlotte show in february I'll submit my freebie slabbings to PCGS and hopefully get moved up into the 20's since the degree of difficulty with those coins is quite high.

Oh, and it looks like i'll be adding a merc as soon as it's shipped. Thanks JB.
(It's the complete type set)

It usually takes most people a couple of months to finish that set. You better hurry up

  • It is a great ambition to complete the complete type set. I hope to do so. It make take me several years at the rate I'm going... The good news is I found a coin in my collection that isn't listed in my set yet! That is the cheapest way to improve one's ranking image

If the set is complete in 10 years, I'll be ahead of schedule. The key to quickness is to buy once and not have to upgrade it later image

  • John,

Congrats on getting into the registry. It was great meeting you and you seem to be a very nice person (I am the Larry he is talking about). I have just reentered the registry again in the Copper/Nickel/Silver Type set at #21 (BTW. you are now at #34, sorry). This one may be easier to finish (haha, like that is going to happen) than yours, no gold, but after a few more coins it is going to be a very slow go. Good luck and enjoy the boards.

    Larry
