Many of you may know Larry Steve was at Snows table showing his varieties. It's in anticipation of his sale at the ANA this summer (Bowers). He sold me this 1883 S1, second finest, 66BN. He spent alot of time showing his coins and it was greatly appreciated by those of us that took advantage of it.

(Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.

    PUSHKIN:

Well, if you like the varieties, there will be a great opportunity in Baltimore to add to your collection. Even if not buying, it will be a rare opportunity to see some great coins. Larry has so many he has arranged his duplicates by die state!image Chris Pilliod was there and showed a very EDS MPD in neck that, if you really squinted, could make you believe the upper portion of the 1 could be seen mid-neck. Hope to see you/meet you in Baltimore.

Larry spent half an hour explaining the late 19th Century minting process to me and how it related to his varieties I was interested in. I was a bit intimidated by him at first, but found out he's just an incredibly focused guy who loves sharing his interests with anyone who'll sit down and talk with him. Watched him do that with people all day.
