Looks like a 64 to me. PCGS might give it FBL, but it doesn't quite look like it to me.

    An 64FBL scan to me.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

It probably wouldn't go FBL at NGC, with PCGS a crapshoot.
  • I too will go with AU-58. Being a first year issue coming from a new master die detail is usually strong. However, there's a small flat spot above and to the right of the ear, and a large area of apparant rub below the cheek. If they graded it Unc then I'll say MS-62 FBL. Don't make me look bad now.

This coin graded ms64FBL. As always, tough to make a call from pics and scans, especially when I am the one making them... This is a pretty golden coin that has to be seen in person. I agree with this one being a solid ms64 and not a bad find for 11 dollars....The bottom row of Bell Lines which is what PCGs looks at is strong and un-interupted. You will notice some weakness in the upper row of lines to the left of the bell, this still may pass at NGC and I'll tell you why, I went to a coin store today in Santa Fe and the dealer had NGC FBL's... And these were very sorry examples! Atleast ten that I saw did not deserve the FBL designation. NGC has consistency issue as well. And this coin that I would have shown, would in all likely hood go a ms65 with them. This is not a knock on NGC, they have many wonderful coins...
