Auction Snipping Software??

I hear some talk about snipping ebay auctions and I think I want to try that too after being outbid with 2 seconds left on a proof set. The problem is when you do a internet search you come up with way to may software and programs. I am afraid to give out my password to some of these places and would like to get some recommendations on what sniper program you use. Thanks a bunch!

Yes I second Doug on auctionsniper.com, I was going to refer you but I opened the thread and he's beaten me to it. Drats.
  • I agree, Auctionsniper.com is the way to go. I've used it for awhile now and it works great. I think it might even work better than Russ!

  • I use auction sentry. Works with ebay and Yahoo. 10 day free trial then $9 and some change to register it and then it's yours to snipe all you want without paying anything. Has been very useful, I work 4-12 shift and it seems like that's when most of the auctions close. I bid while at work.

Click here to try the free trial

Oh yea it has profit tracking also but I don't use that I use a different program for that.

    Good Luck,

    Lori,
Don't forget the basics: The reason you were outbid is the sniper entered a higher proxy bid than you did. Timing of the bid had nothing to do with the auction's outcome. If he/she didn't snipe, that would have possibly given you a chance to bid again with a higher amount. However, if you simply enter the maximum you're willing to bid the first time, don't worry about the timing.

There are plenty of auctions I've "lost," but I consider myself the winner, as I didn't spend more than I thought the coin was worth.
  • I use this one, Owner keeps updating and has forum for help. You can set your own times to snipe too.

OK, So Now I know that all I have to do is put up a parallel web site for just the auction I am interested in. I can scrape the ebay site an hour or two before the end and then, Viola! When you snipers start clipping off your last bid. I can safely just win without worring about you sniping my item out of my hands. Sounds wrong doesn't it? I bet your think "I will report him to ebay, or safeharbour". But guess what, if I don't alter ebays site I have not violated them, so no foul, except for the fould taste this would leave in your mouth if you thought it happened to you.

Bottom line: Bid early. If you want to be in the last second bid business, bid once early on. Johnny come latelys are not welcome.

AuctionSniper's too expensive. I prefer PhantomBidder.
