Major coin value increase at heritagecoin.com -'my collection'

Has anyone noticed any increases such as I have, I believe it to be a bug in the program since only one coin has changed:

Coin: 1873 Open 3, $20, Raw, VF-20
Yesterdays value range: $275-300
Todays value range: $1850-2250

It's just weird.

And wouldn't you just know it?:

    Coin: 1881-S Morgan, Raw, PO01
    Yesterday's value range: $4.50.
    Today's value range: $4.50.

Some things just never change. image

I will buy 500 of your 1873 as 10% ABOVE heritage old figure!!

They are clearly both wrong. LOL.

I enjoy the "My collection" feature alot, but also get a kick out of their "TRUE" and "FALSE" settings
for want list demand settings on coins that you add to your collection. It is beyond funny.

I E-mailed them a while back, and asked why doesn't the values rise based on their own auction results. They couldn't tell me.imageimage

  • The numbers (the number of distinct figures - population figures, value and grades) we're talking about here are incredibly high and some of them not only change quite often but those same figures are also open to argument [population figures (three wreath cents in NGC MS 66 but just one in 65?)and values].

In other words, don't expect 500,000 figures to be right all the time. They would be idiots to maintain a workforce sufficient to keep all those numbers "right".

A source of humor....cool. We can all use that.

But extrapolating some incorrect figures of theirs into a conclusion that Heritage is incompetent...well that's just bad fruit of bad analytical skills.

Ya'll don't be too thin skinned on me here. I gotta go to a BarMitzvah (oh goodie....). I'll be back later so slam me now and I'll think about it later.
