You almost can't give away NGC modern copper.

Those are like ICG prices, and they're horrible with Modern copper.

I dont have access to the NGC Pops ,but could be there are more 7's than PCGS?I new for a long time that there is a difference in value, and since I rarly use NGC I had no idea it was such a big variance.

Well, NGC claims they have this super high end airtight hermetically sealed space age supersonic slab but they don't even have the gusto to guarantee copper in their wonder slabs and that's what it does to the value of the coins.

Eeeggggaaaaadddddssss. That hurts. There are still some series where NGC certified material really lags behind pcgs. The "gap" is closing in on certain series, but others (like this one!) it's painfully wide.

Guys, all this says is that this buyer paid less for NGC plastic than others have paid for PCGS plastic. He couldn't have purchased the coin based on the actually condition of the coin because as we all know you can accurate grade a coin based on even the best picture.

Does this prove that PCGS is a stricter grader on these coins or that the PCGS registry is more popular than the NGC collectors society? Are the PCGS coin prices on the modern issues inflated just because of the set registry or would they command such a premium over NGC coins if there was no registry? mike image

    Interesting thread.

What would the odds of the coin making MS 67 in a cross over? If the coin is worth big money in a PCGS, is it worth a try?

Edited to include the pop 48 ms 66, and 4 ms 67.

I'd say yes to try the crossover.

fcloud, and Merz2,I sent them to NGC because I didn't think they would grade 7 at PCGS.I believe there is about1/2 point spread in grading Lincolns>>I sent 40 coins to NGC and 40 to PCGS all Lincolns, and the big descripencies are in the 7's ,the 6's are pretty much equal.I thought that was a good test for the quanityimage.
When you get into the 7's PCGS realy tightens the screws,I also have sent in an enormious amount of Lincoln in the last eight months ,and have adjusted my grading to fit there standards.Al
