I won the 1955 ngc pr68 cameo!!! Heritage says i also won the 1959 pr67 cameo and the 1963 pcgs pr68 dcam but the prices on those are higher than my bids.
Man, they are completely disorganized right now. I got passed around on the phone for 15 minutes this morning trying to take care of the lot I won, and still couldn't talk to anybody other than receptionist types. Ended up leaving a message for Bob Marino.
I'm sitting here with a folder piece of paper atop my moniter set up to cover the top of the slabs on the Heritage auction...Testing my grading skills .
Collector of Fractional Gold; gold tokens from Canada, California, Alaska & other states; gold so-called dollars, and other oddball stuff.
When I placed my bid with Heritage, and then was outbid, Heritage said I could still win if the top bidder backed out of the deal...That leaves the whole thing open to "Shill" Bidding.

Geez...how do you have time. I'm sitting here at lunch watching the Morgans fly by....
Hehe, the images leave much to be desired, not to mention no reverse image. Plus, I can't tell from the images the PL/DMPL coins. Still, usually not off a grade or two but that's the difference of alot of $.

Greg- I had read their description where it states, "1952 50C Half Dollar PR67 Cameo Numistrust Corporation.......The Cameo contrast is light, particularly on the reverse, but both sides are equally free of toning and bothersome handling marks. A high quality specimen."
In between where there are .........., Heritage places (PR66). That's it! Don't you feel they owe potential buyers a little more warning than "(PR66)"?? Something along the line of, "We feel the coin will actually grade at PR-66 and will not make Cameo." would have been more appropriate?

Edit: Should have had a -S in there somewhere.

You have people, all I have is Russ to snipe my auctions.
1952 "Cameo"
What a disappointment to see them carry this "not even close to Cameo" Franklin!
Heritage will auction 2nd/3rd tier slabbed coins, but they place a grade in the description that they feel the coin really is.
However, they will NOT auction ACG coins thanks in large part to the forums and its members.
