  • This is the second coin jmcu12 was referring to. Not as nice as the '80 due to damage on obverse.

Unless I am missing something in the scans, looks like a MS65 to me.

If it has nice luster, I'd easily go with MS-66. Very clean cheeks and fields.

  • Looks pretty good. Looks to be a nice MS65. Probably wouldn`t go MS66 because of the rim ding on the reverse between the star and " O " in ONE.

What is going on at the base of the neck at the point?
  • jmcu12jmcu12 Posts: 2,452 ✭✭✭
Placid: I am not sure what is going on at the tip of the neck. It almost looks like there might be something on the surface, but looking at the coin through a loupe and I cannot see that there is anything on the surface.

CCR: The ding is not that prominent on the coin it is hardly noticeable; I did not even see it until I scaned it at 200%. Agreed, however, that it does reduce its grade.

Anyone care to guess what ICG gave the coin? Note: I did not pay that price, specifically given the above two comments.

    icg 66?
  • I will retract my comment about damage, I also thought there was a bad scuff or mark on the base of the neck. If there is nothing there, should be an easy 65.

  • I agree with Placid and geuss it a ICG MS66.
