32-D Washington Quarter bought today [PICTURES ADDED]

I just bought my first "key" date for a series today. Okay, so it was cheap, and very low-grade, but still, it made me happy to finish off that series. I bought a 1932-D Washington AG-3 from my local dealer today for $25. It has a clear date and mintmark. Sure, it is ugly, but for $25, I thought why not fill the hole until I can afford a better one later. Anyways, I am happy that my Washington Set is complete.

32-D's are just plain sweet. Period. I don't care if they're AG, or MS66. Good job!

Geoman: I bought my AG 1932-D quarter back in 1968 at 15 years of age and it was good enough for me for nearly 30 years when I bought a PCGS MS-65 one in 1996 and another one (PCGS MS-63) in early 2001.

As you can see it is a very critical one for you to have as it is the anchor one of what will some day be part of your 1932-D quarter grading set!!!

Well, here are the obverse and reverse pictures. Not a pretty coin. But again, it was nice to finally buy a "key date" to a series. And to finish off a series.

I have one that looks just like that. Mint state and Proof coins are really nice, but if you want to collect the coins that supported the economy of the US, go for the circs, there is alot of history in them and no telling who may have spent them.
