Questions for Mr. Gibbs of coin world

1. When will the online version of coinworld go up for sale ? 2. Will it be more, less or the same price as for print subscriptions ? 3. Will the online version have everything in it that the paper has? what if any differences ?
The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.

Please... Save The Stories, Just Answer My Questions, And Tell Me How Much!!!!!
  • 1. The online edition of Coin World went live a few minutes ago (I'm writing this about 3:15 EST)! In fact, I just had to change my answer to the first question; I was ready to say we were not quite ready.
    2. The online edition will be priced the same as the print edition: $36.95 for 52 weeks. A subscription to both print and online editions is priced at $59.95. You should be able to subscribe now.
    3. The content will be identical in both editions. The online version will have every story (all news, features, columns, departments -- everything)and advertisment appearing in the print edition.

The online edition will be released Tuesday, the same day we mail the print edition. That means online subscribers will get their editions much earlier than any print subscribers. We will also archive back issues; subscribers will have access to the past 12 issues in addition to the current edition. Each year, we'll be adding several complete years to the archives, which we will charge a fee for access past the last 12 issues. Eventually, we hope to have every issue of Coin World online, all the way back to the first issues in April 1960.

Why in the world would the online version be priced the Same as a hard copy????
  • I'll have to defer those questions to our circulation director, Terri Wise. I'll get back with a response later.

    Mr. Gibbs,
    while we've got you here.

What is THE best deal going Right now for renewals??!!!

I believe I can go "through" other places at 19.95/year but haven't called to see if that is good for renewals or just New subscribers. One of the members here has used that place for years.

Here is a quote of the fellow member....

    Magazine Warehouse.
    1-800-SAVE-SAVE
    1 Year $18.95
    I've used them for years!

Russ, i'm sorry you'll have to tell mr. Gibb to wait his turn to call me. You see Mr. hall is on line 1 waiting for the doc who just completed his finest known barber half set to arrange a private showing for me online 2, so mr. Gibb will have to cal back or wait his turn on line 3. By the way Russ, nice 2 cent piece.

  • Hi all!

The Online Edition is priced the same as the Print Edition because they are identical products. Contents of both editions are the same. The subscription price of $36.95 pays for weekly content of Coin World regardless if it is in print or electronic format.

You get a little extra with the Online Edition since it also includes access to the past 12 weeks of back issues which are completely keyword searchable. You also get delivery of your issue a full 13 days prior to the cover date!

Please go to www.coinworld.com or www.coinworldonline.com and read a sample issue. I'm sure you'll be pleased.

Mr. Wise, this is a post i made last week so i wasn't thinking anyone else would respond to it now, but since your here, as the circulation director can you tell me if it's possible to get the same renewal discounts for people who would rather renew online then renew their print edditions ? I know for me, ever since i let my print subscription run out i've gotton various different renewal discount offers on the print edition and see no reason why you shouldn't want to offer those same discounts to your subscribers at renewal time or later to get old customers back who would rather switch to online instead of print, if for no other reasons then customer satisfaction and conserving paper. barberlover

  • All of the renewal prices available for the print edition are also available for the online edition. You can order a new or renewal subscription to print, online or both at www.coinworld.com or www.coinworldonline.com. You can switch from print to online (or back) at any time you choose. Online Edition or Both Edition subscriptions must be ordered through our website since a username and password has to be established for access (to the online edition).

Our best renewal rate is 156 weeks (3 years) for $96.95 which is only $ .62 per copy as compared to our 26 week rate of $19.97 ($ .76 per copy) or our single issue price of $2.50 per copy.

Thank you for your interest in Coin World.
