A Public Thank you to Merz

I would like to publically thank Don for giving a lecture on Lincoln cents this past weekend at the Frederick, MD show. People were asking on Friday about him (signs on doors) and came back Saturday to see his Lincolns and listen to him. Don did an excellent job and one quote I want to repeat is: "He knows his Lincolns!" His knowledge of Lincolns is immense and I'm proud to call him my friend! He was kind enough to leave his Registry Set at my table and I showed it to many people. All were awestruck.
.
So...Thanks, Don!
Thanksgiving National Battlefield Coin Show is November 29-30, 2024 at the Eisenhower Allstar Sportsplex, Gettysburg, PA. Tables are available. WWW.AmericasCoinShows.com

Nice work, Don! image Educational sessions are a real treat at a show. That registry set is a real stunner, too.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • Marz is cool. Got a link of your registry set?

Good going, Don. That's what a hobby should be all about - sharing your knowledge and experience with others. And Don certainly has that knowledge and experience. Must have been a great job.

Your thanks really isn't necessary. It was an honor and priviledge to be your quest speaker.I must admit to a little vanity as well.To be able to display my Registry Set to colectors and dealers was a thrill.Sitting at #5 with only a 94% completion rate is no easy feet.,especially in that series. Most of the old timers of the board know the saga of my coins. They have watched the ups and downs.Anyone can view my set, there are pics. The slabs have many scratches,I must warn you.I had the honor of receiving the first Cameo designation given to a early date Lincoln Proof. That coin now resides in the #2 Registry Set.I have always been willing to help anyone I can !!!
