Predictions Wanted

I just listed 2 MS-69 2000 $5 Gold Eagles on eBay. The starting bid on both coins is $1. The catch is one has been graded by PCGS, the other ICG. Both coins look the same to me. What do you experts think the difference in the final bid price will be? No prizes for the closest guess --- Sorry.

I say they'll be within 10% of one another.

I think it will be no more than $2.

10% is a pretty safe bet considering these coins don't get much or a premium.

    I'll guess:

    PCGS: $64.25
    ICG: $51.85
  • My guess:

    PCGS - $59.50
    ICG - $52.00

I love Ike dollars and all other dollar series !!!

I also love Major Circulation Strike Type Sets, clad Washingtons ('65 to '98) and key date coins !!!!!

The results are in: The PCGS Coin sold for $48.56 while the ICG Coin brought $45.00. The guess of about 10% seemed to be the correct answer.

Well I guess that PCGS Grading is worth the $3 less that I pay for it.
