Check out my latest invoice, 743850. I thought a few had a shot at 9's, but certainally not did I expect 25 of them to receive 9s! Even the George Brett rookie I submitted thought barely had a chance at 6, but it pulled a 7. Sure I got 3 5's and two not holdered due to minimum size, but this is a nice submission I think, over under. The big card grader in the sky was with me on this submission

Ian - congrats on your nice grades as well as the quick turn around.
Am eagerly awaiting results of my submission received 12/23/02.
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
Congratulations on your submission -- you have to love it when you do a whole heck of a lot better than expected. By the way, how come there were no WWF cards in your submission....?
I recently got slaughted on a 1955 Bowman submission -- which seems to be typically of everyone's experience....
I am taking the plunge and submitted 125 1955 Bowman as part of a 2,400 card submission. At this point, I am hoping for 25% 8s
given how I have fared with these in the past.

Nice submission and turnaround!
Did you do the set registry special or the 10 day, $10 card special?
Like Wolfbear im waiting on my recent submission received on 12/23 also.

You do realize you could:
A) buy a nice 2002/3 imported compact car
spend a month in Paris
C) upgrade the entertainment center to Gem Mint
D) help feed about 1,000 kids in Africa for a month or two
with that submission fee? Just Kidding. Good luck.
Mine is 8019452
I'm quite sure this will NEVER happen again!

Collector of 1964 Topps Stand Ups, 1965 Embossed, 1968 Topps Game and 1969 Topps Decals
Registered Sets: 1964 Stand Ups, 1965 Embossed, 1968 Topps Game, 1969 Topps Decals
Excluding option D, I would rather have 2,400 new graded cards to add to my collection.
Great Job on you submission.... You should be very happy with that one Jeff
You are going to have to keep me apprised of your Bowman submission -- you could probably make a great profit from me if you get some of those cards back in PSA 8! I think I ended up with around 30% PSA 8 -- but many of the cards were "leftovers" from the first round of submissions from a raw set -- so I am ultimately happy with the submission, just was hoping for a few more 8s -- and all the keys I needed came back as 7. Oh well.

Congraluations -- anyone getting so many vintage 10s (especially from a tough year like 1967) deserves a special award!

Did you get my email?

Ian,
Nice job!!! Real quick turnaround also.I think that most of us wish we could have returns that good.
Great job!!! Keep improving your eye and that will be what your invoices will look like all of the time!
sjjs28,
Sure thats nice - but I noticed two 5's and a 6 in there! How happy can you really be?
Sets - 1970, 1971 and 1972
Always looking for 1972 O-PEE-CHEE Baseball in PSA 9 or 10!

SKINSFAN--Have been sending in 2000-2500 every 3 months for some time now but am through 1968 on baseball, 1963-5 on football and 1970-71 on basbetball.
May be nearing the end for two reasons--although I have nrmt-mt ungraded sets through early 1990s in all sports it may not make a great deal of sense economically to grade and 2nd, I have close to 100 sets that I am working on and it is hard to keep up with trying to complete all of them. I can't imagine more.
I have received a lot of offers to buy and sell cards from fellow board members since year-end. Keep them coming. All my sets are on the registry. I don't think there is anyone who would say I don't pay a fair price for 8s and 9s I need. However, probably many would say I am hard to buy cards from--you will overpay but if you just have to have that low pop 8 or those hard to find 9s I will sell them to you.

Marc,
No WWF cards this time around. Trying to just focus hard on the 1974's for now. If anyone has PSA 8 or 9 Rose or Ryan's, please let me know. Saw a nice 8 Ryan at the Fort back in September, but like the majority of Ryan stuff there, it was over priced. I had the Perry and the Brett lying around from a deal I purchased at a local card show. Bought a few 1975 commons and those were included. I didn't have a Brett rookie so I figured why not go for the package. So I sent it in, thinking "alright, this will be a 5 or a 6, but atleast it's graded". Sure enough, it comes back a 7. Also, an important note to me is the 2 Skip Jutze cards, my pick for funniest card ever, came back 9's!
I actually sent this in through the set registry special. What suprises me even more is the post office got this to PSA's offices in, get this, one day! It was like overnight delivary without the $14.50 in base shipping costs, plus weight and other things.
Kudos to PSA and the USPS on this one,
Eagerly awaiting the package...
Ian
Nice eye on those beautiful 74s. Is your set registered? Keep up the good work!
Oh yeah ........Go Steelers
