Man, you guys are brutal! The coin was sent UPS, signed delivery and I missed the delivery guy today. A slip was left and I'll chase the coin down tomorrow. I've been in communications with Jeff, off and on and also bid a BIN for a PR67* Franklin a couple of days after the 1953.
He's also sending me a nicely toned rainbow Ike for me to look over and simply keep. It's not often a Dealer/Seller does this. (In fact, thinking about it, I've never had one do so!)
-I'm beginning to really like NGC's 'STAR' grading and have yet to find a bum coin yet. It's OK they did away with the "W" and the "T", but this " * " is working out well. The coins really are PQ in appearance, from all I've seen.
The UPS delivery was working in the area when I saw him while working. I lit him up and pulled him over!
He was somewhat taken aback, but found my package. The coin: It really is "all there" as I've seen many early 50 proofs that had some type of haze and/or blotchiness that I find unattractive. This one looks like a 1963- smooth, glasslike fields with just enough frost (very light CAM) to set the coin above the average. (There was also a bonus Ike included that is worth submitting on my own.)
Now, if I can only find the 50; 51, and 52 to match the quality!
DCHUMP, THAT IS..OH I FORGOT, HE ALREADY KNOW HE'S THAT...SO NO NEW NEWS THERE >>
Wow Russ. We are sure impressed with your VERY bestest new friend, Pepperdoodles (Doops). A real quality guy! Thanks so much for begging and pleading for him to come and post to the Forum. We liked it much better when he just read the Forum without posting here. But no, you just have to beg him to begin posting.

Was the cameo as good as the photo?
If you didn't like the coin, will you return it? Oh that's right, pepperdoodles doesn't accept returns.
