New guy visiting from the darkside.

Wanted to say hello and that I enjoy coming over to the lightside to look around. Attaching a couple of pics of a Morgan that I picked up in a bargain bin for $20. Not too bad a deal I thought. Look forward to visiting more often.

whenever I hear "darkside" I think of poor Luke Skywalker and his dad Darth Vader - is that like foreign coins or NGC slabs or slabbed death coins or Nazi coins? and why would anyone be proud to be from the darkside?

It looks to be an original and in an older PCI holder... I like it. Excellent example.

  • Darkside is the term here for all foriegn coins except canadian they are greyside. People who collect them are darksiders.

The darkside has coins from everywhere from just about anytime that feature just about everyone or everything. However, pictures are not enough to appreciate what is out there. Next time you go to a coin show, go and visit some of the world coin dealers. Ask to see a 18th century Thaler from Austria or one of the German States...or even a 17th century hammered English shilling with a portrait of Charles I. This really is history and art that you can't get from a book. Have fun with it...its not as expense as you might think.

Not very old, slabbed between roughly June 2000 and March 2002.
